Agricultural Briefing – Spring 2017

RL Agricultural Briefing - Spring 2017

Since our last edition Trump has still managed a few headlines but I think it is fair to say that the ‘B’ word has stolen top spot.

With the trigger of Article 50 focus must now be on what the new domestic agricultural policy will be. In October we featured the key principles that the NFU felt should be addressed. The NFU are now publishing key documents setting out the main issues that will impact on British farming and that need to be addressed, encouraging the government to take this opportunity to create conditions for a productive, resilient and sustainable agricultural sector.

Last time we gave some brief details as to what to consider when changing farming and accounting packages and we are grateful to Annabel James from Landmark Systems for providing an article showing how many of the topical issues are influencing the developments in software.
