On Thursday 23rd February, a donation of £1,728 – the proceeds from Essex accountancy firm Rickard Luckin’s sponsored Christmas Carol concerts and in-office fundraising – will be awarded to City of Chelmsford Mencap, continuing the ECF’s vital work.

Assisting Mencap’s Outreach Academy, which provides supportive lifelong learning to adults over 19, the donation will directly fund the charity’s newly-established ‘Working Out’ initiative, helping over 400 Chelmsford residents with learning disabilities into work.

A cheque will be proudly presented by Rickard Luckin’s Gayner Smith (Director) and Sinead Nunn (Marketing), at Mencap’s Community Lunch, where they will meet some of the ‘Working Out’ beneficiaries and understand more about how the initiative will make a positive difference to them.

Rickard Luckin would like to heartily thank the many supportive local businesses who sponsored the three Christmas Carol concerts in December 2016.

These are: Beresford’s, Wortley Byers, Beecham Fisher Ridley, Sorrell, IPECO, Hannah’s Bakery, Innovate Financial Solutions and Rawley Plant Hire.

As the largest independent accountancy firm and tax advisors in Essex, Rickard Luckin are committed to improving life in the local community with regular donations to the ECF, made through fun in-house events such as bake sales and dress-down days.
