After what has so far been a challenging year for businesses, Award-winning Essex accountancy firm Rickard Luckin is pleased to announce some exciting news concerning its leadership plans in Southend, with a newly appointed team now in place to spearhead the firm’s presence and commitment to the area.

As of 1 October, our Southend office will be led by a new leadership team consisting of Jamie Nice (Head of Tax & Financial Planning), Dan Garside (Client Service Director), Jodie Gammon (Associate), and Dean McCormack (Associate) who will work as a connected team committed to our mission of helping clients realise their potential and achieve their aims.

As Rickard Luckin continues to focus on providing its clients with the highest level of service across Essex, this is another future-focussed move aimed at strengthening its commitment and position within the Southend area.

With the recent announcement that Rickard Luckin Directors Alan Worsdale and Bill Gould will be retiring at the end of September, it is important for the firm to underline its commitment to the Southend office, so as to continue the high standards that have so successfully been put in place.

Speaking on the announcement, Jamie Nice says: “I am proud of our long history in Southend, where Alan and Bill have to this day been at the forefront in building the fantastic reputation for client service that we come to expect. I am excited that they are passing on the baton to us as a leadership team, and I am confident that we will continue their good work alongside the support of the wider Southend office. Our team are highly skilled, dynamic and well known to our client base and wider professional network, and will continue to develop and drive the firm forward”.

Having both worked in the Southend area for the past two decades, Jamie and Dan are certainly looking forward to working closely with our professional contacts to deliver an excellent service to existing and future clients of the firm.

Dan Garside adds: “The Southend team are hugely grateful for the opportunity to build on the legacy left by Alan & Bill. Our priority is to keep up the first class level of service our clients are used to, whilst at the same time assisting more local businesses by encapsulating what the role of a modern-day accountant now looks like”.

Jodie Gammon, who last year took up her new role as Associate, has been with the firm for 12 years, and with that brings a wealth of expertise and skillsets to this experienced team:

“It’s been invaluable to have worked alongside Bill over the years, and I am really looking forward to now working with Jamie, Dan, Dean and the wider Southend team to continue the great work we’ve been doing to build on our presence in the area and our offering for local businesses. It’s certainly an exciting time for everyone involved as we look to the future.”

With Dean moving over to Southend from our Basildon office, the focus will be very much on understanding the aims and goals of local businesses on a personal level, so as to put in place practical and achievable plans for achieving success. Dean comments:

“I am thrilled and excited to have been asked to be a part of the new leadership team in Southend. These are really exciting times and we are all committed to building on the fantastic reputation the firm already has in the area, to make Rickard Luckin the firm which businesses and individuals want to work with, and indeed the firm for which talented accountants and business people want to work for.”

Rickard Luckin can trace its own roots in the town back almost 100 years, and with today’s announcement of our newly appointed Southend leadership team, it is safe to say that we are very much looking forward to what the next 100 years has to offer.
