Local accountants run to raise money for Havens Hospice
A team of accountants from Essex’s largest independent accountancy firm Rickard Luckin are celebrating having raised money for Havens Hospice.
Joe Ben-Aderet, Steph Gover and David Tallon, accountants at the newly merged firm, achieved the fastest team time at the Havens Hospice Corporate Team Challenge at the Olympic Mountain Bike Course in Hadleigh on Sunday 11 October.
The team completed the 5 kilometre run to raise money for the hospice, which provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to people with a range of conditions.
Alan Worsdale, Managing Director at Rickard Luckin, said: “Everyone at our practice is very proud of the team for taking part in the run, but we were even more excited to hear that they had run the fastest team time on the day.
“Havens Hospice is an amazing charity that provides much needed care to people with life-limiting conditions and we feel honoured as a firm to have supported them during this event.”
More than 120 people from 23 businesses took part in the Corporate Team Challenge with the hopes of raising around £15,000 for the organisations two specialist hospices, Little Havens and Fair Havens, which care for seriously ill babies, children, teenagers and adults.
