We need to know where we are going, and the reports and cash flow forecasts from Rickard Luckin enable us to do just that.
Rickard Luckin helped to restructure both the business model and job roles, defining what everyone does. Furthermore, the budgets provided enable us to see if we hired another member of staff what position they should fulfil.
Given the rising costs associated with the new building, Rickard Luckin has helped in every department, so we know where we are going. All the financial reporting enables us to know what we can spend and to set targets for what we need to hit. This helps in every way.
Our first encounter with Rickard Luckin was when they judged us for the Essex Business Awards Customer Care and Service category in 2002. We subsequently won our category and Overall Business of the Year.
Rickard Luckin have taken care of all our accounting needs, from the basic compliance issues such as tax returns and P11D’s, to more complex areas such as developing our Sage package and providing the support we needed to keep it running smoothly.
They have also been most helpful on proactive issues such as business planning; as we developed, their Business Solutions team were able to work closely with us on matters such as pricing strategy and the range of services we provide.
It is important for us to know that we will always be able to contact the right people to give us the right advice and support.
Rickard Luckin ran two sessions for our board of directors covering effective Financial Management following a recent restructuring within the busienss. We found it both highly educational and enjoyable, reminding us of some basics that had been forgotten, while also tying it in with sound business planning, cash flow forecasts, strict credit control and gross margin analysis.
It was a stark reminder that even a profitable enterprise on paper can quickly get into trouble without carefully planning, monitoring and measuring all aspects of the business.
All areas covered were outlined carefully, questions were welcomed and it soon became apparent that our accountants could offer far more to our business than just our accounts.
We have returned to work and are already in the process of implementing a number of their suggestions. I would recommend to anybody, whether starting a new business tomorrow or having been in business as ourselves for 29 years, to listen and take on board what this course can offer.
